Energy-efficient Oyster Bay home built in 1900 lists for $579G
A newly renovated, energy-efficient home is on the market in Oyster Bay for $579,000.
The home has three bedrooms, 1½ bathrooms, and was designed to keep energy bills down, says Jacques Beauchamp of Harbortown Real Estate and listing agent for the home.
He says the builders installed top-rated insulation, all-new thermal pane windows, Energy Star appliances, double-floor insulation in the basement and a gas boiler system, he says.
The home was originally built in 1900 in a Colonial style, and is 1,500 square feet with a finished basement and a walk-up attic. It also has a kitchen with quartz counters and a gas fireplace.
