Family Service League home tour May 20
This is one of five homes that will be featured on the Family Service League's 64th annual house tour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2015. This particular home is in Huntington Bay and has water views of Huntington Harbor The homes are Lloyd Harbor, Huntington Bay and Cold Spring Harbor. Perhaps nothing heralds the season of bountiful gardens and velvety green lawns on Long Island more vividly than the annual Family Service League tour of North Shore homes. Held this time of year for the past 63 years, the tour, to take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, will feature five homes in Lloyd Harbor, Huntington Bay and Cold Spring Harbor. A lunch at Harbor Club at Prime in Huntington will be available with designer boutiques showcasing fashions, accessories and home decor.
Of particular interest may be one of the Huntington Bay homes, pictured here. It has a hall displaying boxing memorabilia from the owner's late husband's boxing career. He was a 1943 heavyweight Golden Gloves champion.
