Free home-buying seminar in E. Meadow
Real estate rookies are invited to learn all about the home buying process at a free seminar presented by Century 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Empress Diner, 2490 Hempstead Tpke. in East Meadow.
Experts will be on hand to discuss topics such as figuring out what you can afford, qualifying for a loan, choosing a real estate agent and understanding the roles of the home inspector and real estate attorneys.
“Because it’s the biggest asset most people will purchase in their lives, probably they have the most nerves about it … This hopefully will help them through the process and make it smoother and allay some of their fears,” says guest speaker Ted Rosenthal of the East Meadow law firm Rosenthal, Curry & Kranz. “Given the real estate market and how difficult it is, people should go into the process with their eyes open, and we hope we can help them do that.”
Other speakers will include David Wald of Bank of America Home Loans, Mike Litzner of Century 21 American Homes and Tony Sabatino of Sundance Home Inspections.
