The 7.66-acre property includes a 1932 brick Colonial that was renovated and expanded in 2000 by Manhattan architect Oliver Cope. The 8,000-square-foot house features a sunken, ballroom-style living room with floor-to-ceiling Palladian windows, a pine-paneled library and a reception area with a frescoed ceiling.
It's filled with classic details, including arched entranceways, plaster moldings and three fireplaces. It has seven bedrooms, five bathrooms and three half-bathrooms.
Near the heated gunite pool is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom pool house, with a kitchen and a fireplace, designed around 1960 by the historic architectural firm of George B. Post and Sons.
The house is listed with Paul Mateyunas of Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty.
