PAIR FOR SALE. Two adjacent cottage-style homes in East Hampton are on the market for $3.595 million and $2.795 million.

The houses form a small compound at the end of a private lane abutting a 500-acre tree farm, and together they are said to provide unsurpassed privacy, even though the property is only three blocks from the train station.

The larger of the two homes is 5,000 square feet, with five bedrooms and seven baths. Updated by the current owner, the home incorporates the property’s turn-of-the-20th century barn and many of its original details, including its diamond-patterned windows, wood floors and staircase.

The property also features a carriage house, outdoor shower, solarium and a heated pool. The second property is a 4,600-square-foot, six-bedroom, five-bath home with an eat-in kitchen, wet bar, a fireplace in the living room, an outdoor shower and a heated pool. Both properties are listed with Bill Stoecker and Jen Wilson of Town & Country Real Estate in East Hampton.

IN THE COVE A newly renovated five-bedroom, six-bath Mediterranean-style home in Oyster Bay Cove has come on the market for $2.2 million. The first floor of the house was completely reconstructed five years ago from the studs up using mostly the property’s original 1958 materials, with construction on the second floor completed three years ago. In addition to laying the home’s original wood floors again, radiant-heated limestone floors were installed on the ground floor, and the master bedroom also features radiant-heated floors. The 2-acre property includes a heated garage and access to a private area beach. The listing agent is Yasmin Arshravan of Shawn Elliott Luxury Homes & Estates in Woodbury.
