Rich Cribs: Mill Neck horse farm for $2.775M, and more

Horse property. This parklike horse farm situated on more than six acres in Mill Neck is on the market for $2.775 million. Most of the parcel is flat, ideal for horses to graze, walk and relax. Amenities include a state-of-the-art, fully heated barn furnished with a mahogany interior, 18 stalls, a tack room and indoor and outdoor horse showers.

There’s also a separate four-stall barn that can be used for breeding, foaling or quarantine purposes. The property has two fully fenced riding rings: an exercise sand ring and an Olympic-size ring designed with special footing for jumpers.

Through the grapevine. The estate of the late Long Island vintner Christian Wolffer has recently sold some property in Bridgehampton, according to the Long Island Real Estate Report. Public records show that Bay Partners LLC, a limited liability company, paid $1.395 million last month. The property had been listed for $1.5 million. Listing agent Christina Galesi of Sotheby’s International Realty says the .55-acre property includes four small cottages that Wolffer used to rent out. Seamless home and lot. A mid-20th century modern home designed by Edward Durell Stone is on the market for $999,000. Stone, famous for architectural works such as Radio City Music Hall and the Museum of Modern Art, made this five-bedroom house a seamless addition to its tranquil 2.06-acre lot in Oyster Bay Cove, formerly part of the Tiffany estate, says listing agent Michelle N. Cohen of Laffey Fine Homes. “He was so brilliant that he was able to just build it into the property, incorporate it into the surroundings, so you could get the enjoyment of where you’re living,” says Cohen.

“There are these large windows throughout the house, like walls of glass,” and many of the rooms have direct access to the outdoors, she says. “There’s almost a Zen-like feeling back there, and a wonderful free-form gunite pool, and it’s all very natural and unspoiled.”
