Japanese gardens surround this five-bedroom house in Sands Point, which is on the market for $2.495 million.
Previous owners put landscaping around the pool area and in front of the home, says listing agent Lynn Hehn of Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty.
The house has five bathrooms and a half-bath and is on 2.5 acres that include a heated pool and tennis court.
The rear section of the property has a tidal creek linked to Long Island Sound, Hehn says.
The home, built in 1962, is a Postmodern expanded ranch with an open floor plan, and many of the rooms have cathedral ceilings. There are oversized windows in the kitchen and master bedroom. There's also a guest suite on the upper level.
