Southampton 4-bedroom with guesthouse asks $3.65 million
A four-bedroom, two-bathroom traditional style home in Southampton with a legal guesthouse on the property is listed for $3.65 million.
The house has a new in-ground pool and a detached two-car garage being used as a cabana and recreation room.
The main house is around 2,000 square feet and sits on a 1/3 acre, and includes a living room with a wood-burning fireplace, sunroom, family room and eat-in kitchen.
Built in the 1920s, the house was renovated in 1994 with new flooring, renovated bathrooms and kitchen, and the addition of a sunroom.
The current owners bought the property a few years ago and have since done some improvements including adding the pool, finishing the guesthouse and doing some light renovations in the main house, listing agent Beth Marano of Corcoran said.
The home has hardwood floors and central air conditioning, as does the 500-square-foot guesthouse, which has one bedroom and one bathroom, large wooden beams in the eat-in kitchen and bedroom and a wood deck.
“It is very rare to have a legal guesthouse,” Marano said. “It’s special and makes a property worth much more.”
The property is in the Southampton Union Free School District, with taxes of $5,859. "Those taxes are correct," Marano said. “Southampton Village is historically low.”
The home is on Cooper Street, a quiet street that doesn’t serve as a cut through, and is within walking and biking distance to Southampton Village’s shopping and dining, Marano said.
