When this splanch— just two houses from the bay — came on the market eight years ago, Marc and Stephanie decided to make the big move: “We came from one block away just to get on the water,” Marc says.
“We have unbelievable panoramic views,” adds Marc, describing vistas of the bay, a nature preserve and the Merrick Golf Course. Set on a 70-by- 100-foot lot with a rear wooded deck, a heated pool, two floating docks and a boat lift, the eight-room house has four bedrooms, two and a half baths and a “dry” basement. The living room and master bedroom have oversized picture windows overlooking the water. The couple have made numerous improvements, including putting on a new roof, siding and a stucco front. The windows, skylights and doors, including those on the garage have been replaced. Marc chats about other renovations:
“We put in a new kitchen. The cabinets are custom, and the countertop is Silestone. What I love is it’s black with sparkle. We also added molding and put in a special penny tile back splash and a deep sink . . . We replaced the main bathroom — that has a granite countertop, new sink, faucet — everything . . . We converted the house to gas and ran a gas line to the barbecue.”
