Avril Lavigne gets 17-carat diamond ring from Chad Kroeger

Merely one year after tying the knot, Avril Lavigne, 29, received an upgrade in the diamond ring department. Lavigne's hubby, Chad Kroeger, presented Lavigne with a 17-carat sparkler as an anniversary gift -- and the songstress looked absolutely smitten as she showed off her new bling on Twitter last week. "I still can't believe my 1 year anniversary gift. 17 carat emerald cut. Wow. I love my hubby," Lavigne shared with her 16.3 million followers. She has since deleted the tweet. Kroeger, 39, popped the question with a 14-carat, pear-shaped diamond ring, and on their wedding day the rocker presented Lavigne with a 20-carat emerald ring.

It appears as though Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" helped boost more than just Miley Cyrus' career. Emily Ratajkowski, 23, who bared it all in the music video, will star alongside Zac Efron, 26, in "We Are Your Friends." The film, which will be directed by Max Joseph of "Catfish," follows a DJ named Cole (Efron) as he prepares for his big break, Deadline.com reports. Things take a turn when Cole falls in love with his mentor's girlfriend, Sophie, presumably played by Ratajkowski.
