Academy Award-winning actress Rachel Weisz ("The Constant Gardener") and her partner of nine years, writer-director Darren Aronofsky ("The Wrestler"), have split up, their representative confirmed Tuesday. They are seeking joint custody of their son, Henry Chance, 4.

"Rachel Weisz and Darren Aronofsky have been separated for some months," the rep said in an e-mailed statement. "They remain close friends and are committed to raising their son together in NYC."

Weisz, 40, and Aronofsky, 41, worked together on "The Fountain," a 2006 science-fiction romance Aronofsky directed and co-wrote.

The celebrity-news site TMZ.com claims Weisz "has been linked" for months to James Bond star Daniel Craig, with whom she filmed the upcoming "Dream House" earlier this year. Neither has confirmed a romance, according to E! Online. Craig has been in a relationship with girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell since at least 2005, according to British newspaper the Daily Mail.
