It’s a good week to be Alec Baldwin. Not only does his memoir “Nevertheless” come out on April 4 — one day after his 59th birthday — but he’s got the new animated movie “The Boss Baby” in theaters. And who knows if he’ll pop up on “Saturday Night Live,” which returns with a new episode April 8. The Massapequa native has many high-profile credits on his résumé; here are some you may have forgotten.

THE DOCTORS (1980-82) Baldwin played Billy Allison Aldrich, a smooth talker with a nasty streak who was ultimately killed off, in this NBC soap opera that also served as a steppingstone for Kathleen Turner, Gil Gerard and Jonathan Frakes.

CUTTER TO HOUSTON (1983) The title of this nine-episode CBS drama set referred to the computer hookup between a hospital in tiny Cutter, Texas, to the Houston Medical Center. Baldwin, as a big city doc on probation for writing illegal prescriptions, got to practice his bedside manner on the local cowgirls.

KNOTS LANDING (1984-85) Baldwin joined the prime-time soap in season 6 with his sinfully good turn as Joshua Rush, a TV preacher who was no saint when the cameras stopping rolling. Rush met his maker when he fell off a roof.

GREAT BALLS OF FIRE! (1989) After his “Knots Landing” role, Baldwin was the natural choice to play televangelist Jimmy Swaggart, the cousin of Jerry Lee Lewis, in this biopic about the rowdy rocker.

WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE (2000) Baldwin appeared as himself on the popular quiz show and raked in $250,000 for his charity, the Performing Animals Welfare Society (PAWS). The $500,000 question (Leonardo da Vinci wrote his famous notebooks mainly using what unusual method?) did him in: For his final answer, Baldwin choose “pictography” instead of “mirror writing.”

FRIENDS (2002) The actor had two appearances as Parker, the annoyingly cheerful boyfriend of Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow). One of the episodes was titled “The One in Massapequa,” the town where Monica and Ross’ folks live. Baldwin showed his acting chops when his character says that he’s never been there.

THE SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS MOVIE (2004) To voice Dennis, a hit man hired by Plankton to stop SpongeBob and Patrick from retrieving King Neptune’s crown, Baldwin recorded his scenes from New York via telephone. Whatever you do, don’t say that Baldwin just phoned it his performance.
