Alyssa Milano angry after Heathrow Airport confiscates breast milk
Alyssa Milano took to Twitter to express her frustration when her pumped breast milk was taken away by security at London's Heathrow Airport on Thursday.
"Heathrow Airport just took my pumped breast milk away. 10 ounces. Gone. Not Okay," the actress and mother to son Milo, 3, and Elizabella, 7 months, said in a post.
"They said they would let the pumped milk through if I had the baby with me. Why would I need to pump if I had the baby with me????" she continued.
The official airport account responded to the 42-year-old's complaints, citing government regulations restricting all liquid carryons to 3.4 ounces unless a baby is present.
"I would have happily spread milk in different containers (which I travel with) to comply to those liquid rules," Milano noted in another tweet. "Instead, milk was taken away with no discussion. Shampoo, lotions, etcetera were simply tested and handed back with no issue. Makes no sense at all."
