Her love for the comfort of sweatpants and need to move beyond them has inspired actress/comedian and mom-to-be Amy Schumer to design a new, size-inclusive clothing line dubbed Le Cloud, slated to make its debut at Saks OFF 5th on Dec. 13. Schumer has co-partnered with Leesa Evans, costume designer and celebrity stylist, who worked with her on the 2015 film “Trainwreck.”

Evans told In-Style magazine that Schumer’s refusal to wear anything but sweatpants was an incentive to design the collection. “I kept trying to find the sweatpants alternative that had both comfort and style and that was appropriate to go to meetings, out with friends, to a movie, all over,” Evans said. “Amy was always asking me, does it feel like a cloud?” (Hence the name.) She came up with some alternatives for Schumer’s “I Feel Pretty" press tour, and apparently others coveted the comfort-meets-cool appeal of the clothes.

In a statement, Rockville Centre-raised Schumer, 37, said: “We take our product seriously but not ourselves. My instinct is to be authentic and to empower women of all ages and sizes to do the same. We are making beautiful comfortable clothing that is accessible to real women."

The 23-piece collection includes tops, pants, skirts, outerwear and a jumpsuit in sizes ranging from 0 to 20 (according to reports, sizes will ultimately go to 40) and price points that range from $38 to $248. The neutral color palette -- which is designed to be mixed and matched — includes black, navy, dark green and camel and is created out of comfortable (a must for Schumer) fabrics such as "crepe, French terry and scuba," the latter possibly referring to the stretchy neoprene material often used to make underwater divers' and surfers' bodysuits.

An added bonus? Thirty percent of the net proceeds from sales of the collection will be donated to Community Partners, a not-for-profit organization in support of the STYLEFUND project, Schumer and Evans' program to empower women from different backgrounds by using clothing to increase their confidence and success.
