Ariana Grande addresses allegation that she said she hoped her fans 'die'

Singer Ariana Grande has taken to Twitter to deny that she had insulted her fans.

Without directly mentioning a newspaper's allegation that Grande was overheard at a fan event this summer saying, with an expletive, that she hoped they all "die," the "Problem" singer tweeted to fans Wednesday, "Love u loves it's tru I do."

This marks the third recent allegation of diva behavior attributed to the 21-year-old. One report -- subsequently discredited -- said she had behaved badly at a cancer telethon. Another allegation, which was denied by Grande, said she had stormed out of a photo session.

On Tuesday evening Grande had posted a series of tweets that seemed to address the latest issue. "Man some of these rumors that have been coming out about me lately actually have me laughing out loud. . . . really can't take em seriously. Sooner or later ppl will realize that what u put out is what u get back. The lies/hate etc. Give love & I promise life will treat u better."

Grande, who initially became known as a teen star on the Nickelodeon series "Victorious," went on, "I've said this before but I promise it's true. What u focus on expands. What u put out, u get back. Live for love & your life will be pretty."

She then wrote the word "love" seven times and added, "Here's some more love for u. Even those who are unkind. Here's some love for u too. U need it most."
