Ariana Grande won't face charges over apparent doughnut-licking video

Ariana Grande will not face charges after a security video of her appearing to lick three unsold doughnuts on a shop counter went viral last week.

"The owner of Wolfee Donuts declined to press charges against Ms. Grande," the Lake Elsinore, California, Police Department said in a statement Monday, noting that the July 4 video of the 22-year-old singer-actress "depicted her . . . appearing to maliciously lick donuts that were on a display shelf. . . . It is not clear at this time if the affected donuts were disposed of or sold to another patron."

The footage also shows Grande making an anti-American comment. She apologized on Wednesday, a day after the footage was released, and again in a video on Friday.
