An autopsy Monday on the son of Marie Osmond was found to be inconclusive, E! Online reports. There was no immediate word on whether Michael Blosil, 18, had drugs or alcohol in his system, according to the Los Angeles County coroner. The official ruling on the cause of the death won't likely be made for up to six weeks, pending toxicology tests.

Blosil, who had battled depression and spent time in rehab, apparently jumped from his eighth-floor apartment in downtown Los Angeles on Friday after leaving behind a suicide note.

Although Osmond knew her son had problems, she thought he was doing better, a family friend told People magazine.

The Osmond family has gathered in Las Vegas, where Osmond's show is on hold indefinitely, to mourn together.

"They're doing the best they can," the friend said. "They're all together. She's taking care of her family. They're all trying to explain that certain [bad] things happen while they grieve at the same time. They're trying to understand and make sense of it."
