Sandra Bullock has broken her silence to deny Internet rumors of a sex tape starring herself and her estranged husband, Jesse James, as the fallout from his serial affairs seems headed to divorce court.

"There is no sex tape," Bullock said in a statement to People magazine Tuesday. "There never has been one and there never will be one."

Until now, Bullock, 45, had not commented, preferring to remain in seclusion since reports surfaced that James, 40, allegedly had cheated on her with at least four other women.

Bullock has been in touch with several friends, including comedian George Lopez, who visited her for a second time on Monday.

It's amazing she even had to make the statement, considering the origin of the rumor: an unsourced item in muckraker Ian Halperin's blog that even habitués of its comment boards suspect was a tasteless joke. The item, posted Friday, described in lurid detail a James/Bullock sex tape.

Visitors going to that site have largely posted skeptical comments such as, "I'm flummoxed - I find this impossible to believe" and "Yesterday was April Fool's Day - maybe Ian's idea of a joke."

Probably so. Yet enough Internet users apparently took it as real that, combined with Radar Online quoting an anonymous "insider" that James has more than 12 sex tapes with other women, Bullock felt it best to knock down the rumors before they stuck.

Meanwhile, James may be hoping to reconcile with Bullock, but his former "Celebrity Apprentice" boss Donald Trump doesn't see it happening. Despite James going to rehab after cheating on the actress, "I don't think he's a changed man or will be a changed man," Trump told UsMagazine.com Monday at the "Dressed to Kilt" charity fashion show in Manhattan.

Though Trump previously was quoted as saying the couple should get back together, he told Us "before I found out how many things he did. I don't think he can get Sandra back."
