Christie Brinkley's North Haven home on sale for $15.75M
An 1843 Greek Revival house that supermodel Christie Brinkley owns in North Haven has come on the market for $15.75 million.
The 5-bedroom, 5 1/2-bath home overlooks Sag Harbor and Shelter Island Sound. There are harbor and bay views from every room in the house, according to the listing.
The 4.5-acre property also features a beach and a gunite pool.
"It's stunningly beautiful and I hope the people who buy it are very happy," Brinkley tells Newsday.
The 5,500-square-foot shingled and columned house on Fahys Road features turn-of-the-century details such as four fireplaces, wide-plank pine floors and an oak banister.
Jay Flagg of Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate has the listing.
The house is said to be where Brinkley's ex-husband, Hamptons architect Peter Cook, had an affair with then-teenage girlfriend Diana Bianchi.
Sources told Newsday that Brinkley bought the house for Cook as a gift. Property records show that she purchased the home in 2004 through a trust for $7.15 million.
"Christie bought that house with her own money because Peter very much wanted, as an architect, to take a property and make 'A Peter Cook house' for their family," a source told Newsday in 2006.
Brinkley and Cook divorced in 2008.
Brinkley's Hamptons real estate includes her house in Bridgehampton, Tower Hill, which is on the market for $30 million. Built in 1898, the 12-bedroom compound is on 20 acres and 200 feet above sea level.
