Eva Longoria files for divorce from Tony Parker

"Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria Parker has filed for divorce from her husband of three years, San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker.

The petition, signed and dated Tuesday and submitted to Los Angeles County Superior Court Wednesday, cites "irreconcilable differences."

Also Wednesday, the new issue of Us magazine reported that Longoria Parker, 35, had recently discovered that her husband, 28, had been sending inappropriate texts to a mutual female friend as many as hundreds of times a month for nearly a year.

"Eva is heartbroken by the betrayal," a source told Us, adding that the basketball star had confessed after Longoria Parker confronted him. Added another source, "Once the trust was lost, the marriage was over."

The filing, which The Associated Press and TMZ.com each obtained, specifies that the couple had signed a prenuptial agreement on June 21 and 26, 2007, and amended it two years later on June 10, 2009. The couple, who have no children, were married July 7, 2007, in a spectacular ceremony held at a 17th century Parisian castle.

The divorce petition against Parker also seeks spousal support for Longoria Parker, who will restore her name to the original Eva Jacqueline Longoria.

This is her second divorce, following her split from former "General Hospital" star Tyler Christopher, her husband of two years, in 2004. She met Parker in November of that year.

"Eva truly thought she was going to grow old with Tony and have children with him," a friend of Longoria's told Us. "She's inconsolable."

A representative for Longoria Parker declined requests for comment by Us and ABC News. A Parker rep did not respond.
