Frances Bean Cobain marries boyfriend Isaiah Silva, mom Courtney Love not invited to wedding, report says

Frances Bean Cobain reportedly has married her boyfriend of five years, The Eeries frontman Isaiah Silva, in a small ceremony to which her mother, rocker Courtney Love, was not invited.

E! News said Cobain, 23, wed Silva sometime recently before 13 to 15 guests. Cobain, an artist, is the daughter of Love and her late husband, Nirvana singer-songwriter Kurt Cobain. Neither Silva nor Cobain has confirmed the report or commented on social media.

Following the E! story, Love, 51, posted an Instagram photo of herself and model James Norley, captioned, "If you think I'm sorry for being a no-show at any important events this week, think again. I was with James Norley . . . Bwahaa xc."

Cobain and her mother have had a sometimes difficult relationship, which appears to have warmed to an extent. Last month, Love posted an image of herself with infant Frances Bean Cobain and Kurt Cobain -- who committed suicide in 1994, when their daughter was 20 months old -- captioned, "My greatest love and our precious Bean #missyou #memories." In another photo from the same session, Love posted, "Makes me feel so sad. Our baby is all grown up now. Jesus Kurt look at her face, what on earth were you thinking..!?!? God I miss you, we all miss you #family #memories #turnbacktime #lovehim."

The musician and actress also tweeted a birthday greeting, "Happy birthday my sweetest baby girl, I'm so proud of you," to which Frances Bean Cobain responded, "Thanks for letting me utilize your human form to act as my alien incubation pod for 9 months. Love you mum XX."

Cobain and Silva also had kept their engagement private. The Southern California alternative newspaper OC Weekly said in October 2011 that the two had alluded to becoming betrothed in Facebook posts under the assumed names Frances Rachel Leigh Cook and Isaiah David Berkowitz-Cusack. One post by her reads, "Getting to spend the rest of my life loving my best friend makes me the luckiest woman in the world," while one post by him refers to "my fiance" [sic].
