Model and "Project Runway" judge Heidi Klum and R&B singer Seal have finalized their divorce.
Us Weekly reported late Wednesday that the couple's dissolution of marriage became official on Tuesday. Klum, 41, and Seal, 51, announced their separation in January 2012, saying in a statement: "While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart."
The couple, who met in 2004 and married in May 2005, have three biological children together -- sons Henry, 9, and Johan, 7, and daughter Lou, 5 -- and in 2009 Seal adopted Klum's daughter Leni, 10, from the model's previous relationship with Italian businessman Flavio Briatore. That same year, Klum took Seal's last name, Samuel. In her April 6, 2012, divorce filing in Los Angeles, the German-born model asked to have her maiden name restored.
Klum's filing indicated she and Seal did not have a pre-nuptial agreement but did execute a postnuptial sometime during their marriage. She asked for no spousal support.
Klum was married from 1997 to 2002 to celebrity hairstylist Ric Pipino; that marriage also ended in divorce. Seal was not previously married.
Since the separation, Klum dated bodyguard Martin Kirsten for a year before breaking up near the end of 2013 or beginning of 2014, according to reports at the time. She has since been linked to 28-year-old art dealer Vito Schnabel.
