LI's Jerry Seinfeld again is Forbes' highest-paid comedian

Massapequa's Jerry Seinfeld scored a repeat as the world's highest-earning comedian in Forbes magazine’s annual list of the top 10 standups, though Rockville Centre-raised Amy Schumer has dropped off after two years.

Seinfeld, 64, made an estimated $57.5 million between June 2017 and June 2018, from stand-up shows, a Netflix special and two ongoing revenue streams: his Sony/Crackle series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" and Hulu's streaming of his old series "Seinfeld." He just nudges out Kevin Hart, 39, at No. 2 with $57 million from movie roles and his Irresponsible Tour, which alone netted him more than $30 million.

Dave Chappelle, 44, rose a spot to No. 3, with $35 million; while Chris Rock, 53, dropped from No. 2 to No. 4, with $30 million. Ricky Gervais, 57, at No. 5 is a newcomer to the list, making $25 million largely from Humanity — both the name of his first comedy tour in seven years and the accompanying Netflix special. A step below him is Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias, back on the list after a year off, with $20.5 million.

The bottom four (Terry Fator, Jim Gaffigan, Jeff Dunham and Sebastian Maniscalco) are all repeats, in slightly different order.

Forbes bases its earnings estimates are based on data from Pollstar and interviews with industry sources. The figures are pretax grosses without deductions for management, agent or attorney fees.
