John Mellencamp tells Howard Stern ex Meg Ryan ‘hates me to death’

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Mellencamp says his ex-girlfriend, actress Meg Ryan, whom he dated from 2011 to 2014, “hates me to death.”
Speaking to Howard Stern on the radio host’s Sirius XM show on Wednesday, Mellencamp, 65, said the “Sleepless in Seattle” star, 55, “just doesn’t want anything to do with me, and I can’t blame her,” explaining, “It’s because I’m a child. I throw fits, I gripe, I complain, I’m moody. Every bad thing that a fellow can be, that’s me.”
He added that Ryan had given him the best piece of advice regarding celebrity. “She says, ‘John, we’ve both already been to the moon. We don’t need to go back.’ ”
Mellencamp went on to a yearlong relationship with Sag Harbor supermodel Christie Brinkley before the two broke up in August.
