Rapper Kanye West is denying a tabloid report that he has cheated on his pregnant girlfriend, reality-TV star and fashion entrepreneur Kim Kardashian.
"This most recent attack on Kanye West and his family is totally without merit," West's representative told TMZ.com Wednesday. "It's a blatant attempt by a misguided individual who is clearly seeking publicity, and another in a series of malicious stories drummed up by non-credible 'news' sources," adding, "This is a sad attempt to hurt two people trying to live their lives."
Canadian model and bartender Leyla Ghobadi, 24, told the tabloid magazine Star she met West, 36, at his Atlantic City concert on July 6, 2012, three months after he and Kardashian, 32, became a couple. Ghobadi said West spotted her in the audience and had his security personnel ask her up to his hotel room the following night. Ghobadi said she and West had relations then and again later during Kardashian's pregnancy.
"Maybe I went about this the wrong way but how else am I meant to get thru to [Kardashian]?" Ghobadi tweeted Wednesday, saying she would apologize to the reality star if she could. She wrote she went public because West "called me a week ago to hook up again. If I was pregnant with his child I would want to know" about him cheating.
West and Kardashian are expecting a daughter next month.
Ghobadi says on her Facebook page she lives in Montreal and is marketing director for Diamond Spa and a VIP bartender and a waitress at the bar and performance venue New City Gas.
