Comedian-actor Kevin Hart posted several tweets Wednesday in response to his ex-wife criticizing his girlfriend for having ruined the Harts' marriage.

Torrei Hart, herself a comedian, had emotionally told "Entertainment Tonight" on Tuesday: "I'm tearing up now because, you know, it does hurt that my kids have to be around a woman who broke up a marriage," referring to aspiring model-actress Eniko Parrish, Kevin Hart's girlfriend of nearly five years. When "ET" co-anchor Rocsi Diaz asked what led to the Harts' February 2010 divorce filing, Torrei Hart answered, "Infidelity. Definitely infidelity."

Kevin Hart, 34, whose movies include this year's surprise hits "Ride Along" and "About Last Night," responded on Twitter: "My ex-wife is the mother of my 2 beautiful kids & is well taken care of," claiming he pays "above & beyond what the court ordered me 2do." He added, "I would never slander her name or anybody that she's dealing with" and stated that her own boyfriend "is going to be around my kids and for that reason alone I want to have a positive relationship with him."

Regarding Parrish, he said, "I love the fact that my woman loves my kids and a smart woman should love that as well." The Harts have two children, daughter Heaven and son Hendrix.

"I want nothing but the best for her & her boyfriend and that will not change," Kevin Hart said of his ex. "I ignore negativity, being bitter and angry will get you nowhere."

Torrei Hart, 36, is among the cast of the upcoming VH1 reality show "Atlanta Exes."
