A Long Island native comes home to roost this spring when Kevin James brings his “Owls Don’t Walk” tour to The Paramount on March 2, one of a slew of new shows the Huntington venue announced Wednesday.

Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show go on sale 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketmaster.com.

The former “Kevin Can Wait” and “The King of Queens” star, 59, who was born in Mineola and raised in Stony Brook, launched the tour Feb. 29 in Birmingham, Alabama. It concludes June 15 in Dallas. James has not commented publicly on the newly announced dates, other than to post tour posters on social media.

He had concluded his previous tour, “Irregardless,” at The Paramount on Nov. 26, 2023, in a benefit event for The Alonso Foundation, a nonprofit group founded by Mets first baseman Pete Alonso and his wife, Haley, to help combat bullying, cyberbullying, animal abuse and other societal ills.

James, born Kevin Knipfing, had performed his first stand-up special, “Kevin James: Sweat the Small Stuff,” in July 2001 on Comedy Central, partway through his 1998-2007 stint on the CBS hit "The King of Queens.” He went on to star in movie comedies including “I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry” (2007), “Paul Blart: Mall Cop” (2009) and its sequel, and “Grown Ups” (2010) and its sequel. He released his second comedy special, “Kevin James: Never Don't Give Up,” on Netflix in April 2018. “Irregardless” began streaming in January on Prime Video.

James had begun his stand-up career at the storied East Side Comedy Club in Huntington on July 26, 1989, a date he has recalled in interviews.

Additional newly announced shows at The Paramount include Grammy and Oscar winner Melissa Etheridge on April 8, and comedian Brian Regan on May 10. General-public tickets for both also go on sale Friday.

The cabaret show starring former “The Real Housewives of New York City” cast member LuAnn de Lesseps, originally set for this past Sunday, has been rescheduled for June 8.
