Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson back together?
"Twilight" stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, whose real-life relationship and dramatic public breakup became one of the year's most scrutinized entertainment-industry stories, may be reconciling.
People magazine reported Wednesday that Stewart, 22, and Pattinson, 26, met with each other in Los Angeles over the weekend of Sept. 15, while E! News said the two have spent additional time together recently in secret. Us Weekly went so far as to say the couple "had a dramatic makeup."
Representatives for Stewart and Pattinson did not respond to requests for comment.
Pattinson had appeared to be heartbroken over the split, which came after Us reported in July that Stewart had had a brief fling with her married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director,Rupert Sanders, 41. Stewart quickly issued an emotional public apology, but she almost immediately moved out of Pattinson's house in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. The actor retreated for a time to his friend and "Water for Elephants" co-star Reese Witherspoon's vacation home in Ojai, Calif.
The couple had last been seen together at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles for the Teen Choice Awards on July 22, two days before news of Stewart's infidelity broke.
Pattinson emerged in public in August to promote the U.S. debut of his film "Cosmopolis." Stewart made her first post-breakup appearance on Sept. 6, walking the red carpet at the Toronto Film Festival in support of her film "On the Road."
The two stars are scheduled to promote "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2," the final installment of the blockbuster movie series, for its Nov. 16 release.
