Lisa Niemi, Patrick Swayze's widow, is engaged

A weekend of year-end romance saw two high-profile engagements and a marriage officiated by Stevie Nicks.

Lisa Niemi, widow of actor Patrick Swayze, became engaged to jeweler Albert DePrisco, her representative confirmed to People magazine. DePrisco, 58, proposed to actress-dancer Niemi, 57, on Christmas Eve. She and "Ghost" and "Road House" star Swayze had been married 34 years until his death from pancreatic cancer in September 2009.

Also engaged is Analeigh Tipton, second runner-up of "America's Next Top Model" edition 11 in 2008. On Friday, the 25-year-old actress posted an Instagram video of herself with an engagement ring and longtime boyfriend Aaron McManus. "ife and love is filled with unexpected beauty," she wrote. "I met this man six years ago, and today, he has asked me to spend the rest of our lives together -- facing all of life's surprises as one. Of course, I said yes. :)"

And singer Vanessa Carlton ("A Thousand Miles") posted on Twitter a wedding photo of herself Friday, captioned, "Married this gentleman two hours ago." Her manager confirmed to Us Weekly this was Deer Tick front man John McCauley. Carlton also tweeted a photo showing famed Fleetwood Mac singer Nicks as officiant, writing, "Thanks, Stevie. for marrying us!"
