Lisa Niemi, Patrick Swayze's widow, weds Albert DePrisco
Kim Kardashian may have stolen the spotlight, but three high-profile actresses also got married over the Memorial Day weekend.
Lisa Niemi, widow of actor Patrick Swayze, wed jeweler Albert DePrisco in Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday, People magazine reports. The couple, who met in 2012, became engaged in December and were wed at The Mar-a-Lago Club.
Two days before her wedding, Niemi, 58 -- who had lost her husband of 34 years to pancreatic cancer in 2009 -- told People, "What I most look forward to on my wedding day is walking up, standing at our altar and looking into his most incredible, twinkling eyes," adding, "I cannot think of a bigger treat than that."
Also married on Sunday was Lisa Edelstein, best known for her role as Dr. Cuddy on the Fox series "House, M.D." The actress, whose age is given as 47 or 48 in different sources, wed artist Robert Russell in Los Angeles, People said.
Finally on Sunday, comic actress Casey Wilson, of ABC's recently canceled "Happy Endings" and NBC's upcoming "Marry Me," married the creator of both shows, David Caspe, at the Ojai Valley Inn in Ojai, Calif., Us Weekly reports.
"David and I couldn't have been more excited to celebrate our special day with all of our closest friends and family," Wilson, 33, told Us in a statement. "Oprah, sadly, was a no show. (Probably because we've never met. Maybe next time?)."
