Grammy winner Meghan Trainor, actor Daryl Sabara are married
Grammy Award winner Meghan Trainor wed "Spy Kids" star and animation voice actor Daryl Sabara on Saturday, her 25th birthday.
"It's the beginning of an awesome, whole new life," Trainor told People magazine. "I got way more than I ever wished for." Sabara, 26, called himself "the luckiest guy in the world."
The magazine said the two held a backyard wedding at their home before 100 friends and family members. The bride wore a Berta gown, Badgley Mischka shoes and Norman Silverman jewels for the ceremony, then a lace suit by Rita Vinieris and Aldo sneakers for the reception, People said.
Trainor, whose hit songs include 2015's "Dear Future Husband," told the magazine excitedly that she was most looking forward to "rockin' them [wedding] rings!" She added, "I'm really excited to say 'hubby' and 'husband.' "
Sabara quipped, "I'm no longer the 'future hubby' — I get to just be the hubby, which I'm excited about!"
People said that the two had met in 2014 at a house party prior to her breakthrough with her debut single, "All About That Bass,” and that actress Chloë Grace Moretz, a mutual friend, set them up as a couple in 2016.
Sabara proposed last year on Trainor's 24th birthday, with the singer posting an Instagram video of the moment. "I SAID YESSSS!!!!" she wrote at the time. "[T]he love of my life @darylsabara made all of my dreams come true. He proposed to me under a tunnel of beautiful Christmas lights and surprised me with my family and friends. I’m still in shock. I’ve never been this happy! Thank you Daryl, my family and friends for making me feel like a real princess…."
Neither has commented on social media about the wedding, although Sabara on Dec. 10 tweeted a photo of himself and Trainor, writing, "Getting married to this beautiful woman so soon."
