TV personality Nev Schulman said over the weekend he was "lucky to be here, alive," after breaking his neck in a bicycle crash on Long Island.

Schulman, who hosts the MTV reality series "Catfish," posted on Instagram Saturday that he was riding his bike before picking his son up from school when he collided with a truck.

Schulman said he sustained "stable fractures" to his fifth and sixth cervical vertebrae.

"I’m not paralyzed," he said in the post, adding that "the human body is incredible and so are HUMANS."

He did not say where the Aug. 5 crash occurred or provide any other related details.

The crash left him "unconscious ... then conscious," said Schulman, who turns 40 next month.

Schulman’s Instagram post accompanied multiple photographs of him in the hospital — including lying in bed while wearing a smile, a neck brace and hospital gown — X-rays of his fracture, as well as video of him walking gingerly toward his children to hug them.

"It’s hard to feel sorry for myself when I hear from the doctors about how many people with similar injuries will never walk again," Schulman added in his Instagram post. "I’m lucky to be here, alive, standing and hugging my family, projected to make a full recovery. And I’m really starting to understand the meaning of gratitude. For the big and little things before the accident, and now everything moving forward."

Schulman thanked the Emergency Medical Service workers who treated him as well as the medical employees at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital's intensive care unit for their "incredible knowledge and care."
