Ryan Reynolds has joined the ranks of People's annual "Sexiest Man Alive" feature, exhibiting good spirits and a sense of humor about it. "This gives my family entree into teasing me for the rest of my life," he told the magazine.
That includes his wife, Scarlett Johansson, Esquire's 2006 "Sexiest Woman Alive." "Now it's going to be, 'Sexiest man, take out the garbage,' " Reynolds joked. "The most difficult part is going to be organically working this title into a conversation with random strangers."
With more than 100 men on this year's list, it may not be the most exclusive club. The 12 chosen for the People.com slide show, however, included, in no set order: "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm, screen werewolves Kellan Lutz and Joe Manganiello, rapper-actor Drake, "Glee's" Matthew Morrison and rocker Jon Bon Jovi.
Past honorees include the inaugural Mel Gibson (1985), the late John F. Kennedy Jr. and Patrick Swayze (1989 and 1991, respectively), and two-time picks Brad Pitt (1995, 2000), George Clooney (1997, 2006), Johnny Depp (2003, 2009) and Richard Gere (1993, 1999, the first time with Cindy Crawford as the series' only "Sexiest Couple"). Two James Bonds also made the list - Sean Connery (1989), who at 59 is the oldest winner, and Pierce Brosnan (2001).
