Reports: Mariah Carey four months pregnant

After her un-svelte appearance at a concert in Brazil Saturday - and being photographed in Sao Paulo wearing A Pea in the Pod's spaghetti strap halter maternity maxi dress - rumors reignited that Mariah Carey is pregnant. Now a celebrity-news site is reporting that the pop star is indeed four months along.

Quoting a source who says Carey's husband, actor Nick Cannon, "has been telling friends how excited he is to be a dad," RadarOnline.com reported Wednesday that Greenlawn native Carey, 40, is well past the first trimester mark.

Carey's publicist, Cindi Berger, did little to tamp down speculation when she told People magazine Wednesday that Carey "is very superstitious - and when the time is right for her and Nick to announce something, she will." Berger did not return a call from Newsday seeking comment.
