Rihanna calls relationship with Matt Kemp 'so easy'
Los Angeles Dodgers centerfielder Matt Kemp has apparently hit a home run with girlfriend Rihanna, who in the July issue of Elle says the relationship makes the R&B/pop star "so happy. I feel really comfortable, and it's so easy."
The couple were introduced through friends in November, and were vacationing together in Mexico by early January. Kemp, 25, threw her a 22nd-birthday party the following month, and Rihanna publicly announced the relationship in April.
"I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace," she told the magazine. "It keeps me sane, really, talking to him and talking to my family."
This is in comparison to her previous relationship with singer Chris Brown, who last June pleaded guilty to felony assault for beating her.
"A year ago, I was very confused," Rihanna said. "Because [Brown] was my best friend. All of a sudden, one night changed our whole lives - not only our friendship, but our lives."
In fact, Brown is still suffering the consequences. He was denied entry into the United Kingdom Tuesday because of his criminal record, postponing his tour.
Last year, Brown was sentenced to 5 years' probation and 6 months of community service for the beating of Rihanna.
