Ryan Gosling shared a short video on Vine Monday night of him eating cereal to commemorate the death of Ryan McHenry, the creator of the Ryan Gosling Won't Eat His Cereal Internet meme.

McHenry started posting what became a series of Vines in 2013 featuring him holding a spoonful of cereal up to a television screen showing a scene from one of Gosling's films. He would use clips of Gosling either turning his head away from the cereal or pushing the spoon away, like a toddler refusing to be fed.

McHenry, a film maker from Glasgow, Scotland, died from osteosarcoma on Sunday at the age of 27.

Gosling created a Vine account to post the video, which has amassed more than 30 million loops as of Wednesday afternoon.

"My heart goes out to all of Ryan McHenry's family and friends," Gosling shared on Twitter. "I feel very lucky to have been a part of his life in some small way."
