Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes name daughter Esmeralda Amada

Actors Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling have named their nearly month-old daughter Esmeralda Amada.

TMZ.com posted a California birth certificate, registered Thursday, that confirmed she was born Sept. 12 at Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California, details that Mendes, 40, and Gosling, 33, had not publicly revealed.

Mendes played a character named Amada Juarez in the 2007 crime drama "We Own the Night." She and Gosling, who have been a couple for three years, played parents in the 2012 film "The Place Beyond the Pines."
