'Diff'rent Strokes' actor Todd Bridges married
"Diff'rent Strokes" actor Todd Bridges has tied the knot. On Wednesday, the former child star married designer Bettijo B. Hirschi in a ceremony at the Greystone Mansion & Gardens in Beverly Hills, California, before a crowd of 70 guests.
TMZ first reported the marriage with other news outlets, including People, following. Bridges, 57, told People that it was a small wedding with "just our closest friends and family" and called his new bride "someone that I'm madly in love with."
Hirschi designed her own gown, which was all satin and was inspired by "classic beauty from older eras" by stars like Audrey Hepburn, she said.
Bridges, of course, rose to fame playing Willis Jackson on the NBC sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes" from 1978 to 1986. Earlier this year, he competed on season 3 of the CBS realty-TV competition "Celebrity Big Brother."
This is the second time Bridges has gone to the altar. He and his first wife, Dori, were married in 1998 and announced their split in 2012. He has two children — son Spencir, 24, and daughter Bo, 25 — from his first marriage. Hirschi has four children from a previous marriage.
