Usher marries Grace Miguel, report says
R&B singer and "The Voice" coach Usher and his business partner, Grace Miguel, have married.
E! News said Thursday that county courts records in Fulton County, Georgia, confirm that Usher, 36, born Usher Raymond IV, and Miguel were wed and that the marriage certificate was filed this month.
Rumors of their nuptials began a week ago when Miguel, Usher's girlfriend since 2009, posted a four-picture image on Instagram tagged #HabanaCuba, with two of those images clearly showing a gold band on Usher's ring finger. On Wednesday, he was seen with the wedding ring in Beverly Hills, E! said.
This is the second marriage for the "I Don't Mind" singer. He was married to stylist Tameka Raymond from 2007 to 2009; the two are parents to sons Usher V, 7, and Naviyd Ely, 6.
A representative for Usher did not return a Newsday request for comment.
The wedding occurred as secretively as the engagement, which different sources, including Us Weekly and Time, have given as occurring in December, January or February.
E! said that Miguel, born Michelle Grace Harry in Brooklyn, is the mother of teen daughter Leaf and teen son Raiden, who is reportedly dating singer Lauryn Hill's daughter, Selah Marley. Billboard noted that Miguel is eight years Usher's senior. The former executive chef on "The Cosby Show," she went on to work in executive capacities at MCA Records, Jive Records, Geffen Records and Island Def Jam Records.
"She's someone who has been able to support and understand all of who I am," Usher told Billboard last year. "Not just as a dancer or as a performer or as a singer, but as a humanitarian and a businessman and as a person."
