Vanessa Williams reveals childhood molestation
Williams: I was sexually abusedVanessa Williams says she was sexually abused when she was 10 years old by a female family friend. In her upcoming memoir, "You Have No Idea," Williams writes that she kept the incident to herself and it wasn't until she was in college that she realized that she had been molested. Nevertheless, the incident did profoundly affect her. "After that trip I felt something change in me," she wrote. "I had always been defiant but I became a bit more rebellious. I began to pull away from my parents."
