"Guardians of the Galaxy" star Zoe Saldana has given birth to twin sons with husband Marco Perego, the actress' representative confirmed Friday, ending weeks of speculation.
"Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio Perego-Saldana were born Nov. 27 in Los Angeles," Saldana's representative told media outlets. "Mother and sons are happy and healthy."
Saldana also tweeted the news: "Happy ― ! Starting our #NewYear with a fullhouse. Our boys are finally here! Thank U 4 all the beautiful wishes!" The actress followed her tweet with an Instagram post about the babies: "Our boys CY and BOWIE are finally here," she wrote, next to a photo of two identical baby bottles embellished with plush toys.
Despite rumors that she was expecting, the actress did not acknowledge her pregnancy until she was photographed bumping bellies with "Guardians" co-star Chris Pratt during the movie's July press tour.
Saldana, 36, and Italian artist Perego, 35, married in June 2013 in London.
