Hollywood Life: Alan Rickman secretly weds longtime partner in New York
Actor Alan Rickman, who starred in the "Harry Potter" films, has wed his longtime partner, Rima Horton. The pair, who have been living with each other since 1977, officially sealed the deal in a secret ceremony in New York.
"We are married. Just recently. It was great, because no one was there," the actor told the German publication Bild. "After the wedding in New York we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and ate lunch."
Rickman, 69, added that Horton, 68, a retired economist, didn't want a flashy ring, so he bought her a $200 band. They met in 1965.
Speaking to Hello magazine, about his new bride, Rickman said: "Every relationship should be allowed to have its own rules. She's tolerant. She's incredibly tolerant. Unbelievably tolerant. Possibly a candidate for sainthood."
The actor is well-known for playing Professor Severus Snape in all of the "Harry Potter" movies.
Gaga's 'Horror' story
Lady Gaga will have a pivotal role in FX's "American Horror Story" -- and it's set in a hotel. But now, thanks to one of the series' new stars Matt Bomer, at least one clue has been revealed about what to expect in Season 5.
"I know that I'll be working with . . . Lady Gaga, pretty extensively, so I'm excited about that," Bomer told MTV. "Our story line is really, really fun, and I think what they're doing with our characters is really unique and kind of an original take on it."
