The luxury rental market on Long Island got a hefty infusion of cash and flash as Adam Sandler and Chris Rock rented several properties in Sands Point for the summer while they film the Netflix comedy “The Week Of.”

Gabrielle Roth-Zofchak, an agent with Douglas Elliman Real Estate who worked with representatives for the stars, said, “It was an amazing experience. I was able to preview some truly incredible homes that I wouldn’t normally have access to, I met some interesting people and maybe got a glimpse inside the movie business, which is insane.” Roth-Zofchak would not confirm the prices for the rentals but called them “record-setting.”

Two out of three of the homes were occupied when the stars rented them, but sources said the owners were offered compelling amounts of money to vacate. Estimates for the individual rentals range from $60,000 a month to more than $500,000 for the summer.

Roth-Zofchak said she was contacted in April to find rentals for the stars. In several cases, she says, homeowners agreed to the deal but backed out at the last minute. Realtors were still on the hunt for a home for Rock as late as mid-June. “It wasn’t as simple a process as dealing with the owner and customers,” said Roth-Zofchak. “There were several layers of scouts who took photos, made recommendations and sent them back to Los Angeles for approval. It was definitely a challenge, and I found myself having to think outside of the box.”

The movie stars Sandler and Rock as parents whose children — a daughter and son, respectively — are about to be get married. The film covers a week of preparation for the wedding and will be shot at various Long Island locations.
