Cinema Arts Centre is getting ready to wish F. Murray Abraham a belated happy birthday.

The actor will be coming to the Huntington theater on April 7 for an event being touted as a celebration of his 85th birthday year with a screening of Abraham's 1984 film "Amadeus." That will be followed by a conversation between Abraham and a special guest interviewer, Broadway producer Julian Schlossberg, and a gala reception with live music. (Abraham turned 85 on Oct. 24.)

Tickets for the event, which begins at 7 p.m., are $75 and can be purchased by calling 631-423-7610 or by going to cinemaartscentre.org.

Abraham, whose career spans six decades, is probably best known for his Oscar-winning turn in "Amadeus" as Antonio Salieri, the 18th century Italian composer who was consumed by jealousy over the fame achieved by his rival Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

More recently, Abraham has been a familiar face to TV viewers with roles on "The Good Wife," "Homeland" and "The White Lotus."

In November, he will return to Broadway for the first time in 10 years, opposite Kristin Chenoweth in the new musical "The Queen of Versailles." The show is based on the 2012 documentary about the downfall of billionaire businessman David Siegel and his wife, Jacqueline, and will feature music and lyrics by Roslyn Heights native Stephen Schwartz.
