AC/DC has rescheduled the rest of its American tour with Guns N’ Roses’ Axl Rose filling in as singer, including a date at Madison Square Garden now set for Sept. 14.
The Aussie rockers had to postpone their American tour after singer Brian Johnson was told by doctors that he risked total hearing loss if he continued to perform. Rose has stepped in for Johnson to complete the tour, which is currently playing stadiums in Europe.
“This band has got a ton of energy and you’re going to see a fusion of all that terrific chemistry that we have felt ever since rehearsals in Lisbon,” AC/DC guitarist Angus Young said in a statement. “I want to get back out there onstage in the U.S. with these guys so our audience can see and feel it, too.”
Tickets for AC/DC’s original April 4 show at The Garden will be honored on the new date. Refunds are available at the point of purchase.
