Billy Joel's 'Allentown' remade into 'Rangerstown'
Now, we're living here in "Rangerstown." Yes, Billy Joel has reportedly allowed his classic "Allentown" to be remade in the New York Rangers image to rev up the team and its fans for what they hope will be a Stanley Cup comeback. The song -- sung by Sound Beach's Michael DelGuidice, leader of the Billy Joel tribute band Big Shot and current member of Joel's touring band -- has already spawned parodies, reports Newsday's Glenn Gamboa. Craig Carton from the "Boomer & Carton" show on WFAN has already changed the lyrics to include "Why does the league hate us? Well, they didn't call goaltender interference."
