Calvin Harris' 'Motion' review: An EDM winner

Of all the EDM producers who have become dance-pop hitmakers -- including Avicii, David Guetta and Tiësto -- Calvin Harris is the closest to having a signature sound.

He builds on that sound with "Motion" (Columbia), teaming with a wide range of vocalists, including Gwen Stefani and Haim, as well as singing some songs himself.

Harris already has had a Top 10 hit with the chugging "Summer," but there's way more on deck. Ellie Goulding lightens the mood on "Outside," while Haim's playful vocals make "Pray to God" special. Big Sean's rhymes give "Open Wide" a surprising twist, but Harris' arrangements keep it clear that he's still in charge.
