Is Fall Out Boy calling it quits?
Well, it’s certainly not looking good. Bassist/lyricist Pete Wentz said yesterday on his blog, “I don’t know the future of Fall Out Boy. It’s embarrassing to say one thing and then have the future dictate another... I also can’t predict that I’d ever play in Fall Out Boy again.”
Singer Patrick Stump told Spin.com yesterday, “I'm not in Fall Out Boy right now... Whether we play again or not, I don't know.”
After touring for its last album “Folie a Deux,” the band announced it was going on hiatus. Stump announced he was working on a solo album. Guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley formed The Damned Things with Anthrax’s Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano and Every Time I Die’s Keith Buckley.
“There's no official decision one way or another,” Hurley said in a statement. “It's just that we're in different places right this very instant. which is why we took the break.”
However, Wentz sounded more ominous on his Twitter account, answering fan questions. “Man. Don’t you get it? A hiatus is forever until you get lonely or old. I don’t plan on either.”
