Sure, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Nirvana’s iconic “In Utero” album Tuesday.

You could pull on some flannel and crank up “Heart-Shaped Box” really loud. You could pick up the band’s “Live and Loud” concert on DVD, recorded in Seattle shortly after the album’s release. You could even buy the super deluxe edition of the album, which includes the demos and live versions of the album tracks, as well as B-sides and other rarities.

Or, you could get a free Nirvana tattoo! We’re not talking about one of those cheap temporary tattoos, or even a henna one. This would be a real tattoo of the Nirvana smiley face logo, done by real tattoo artists, Three Kings Tattoos, of Brooklyn.

Looney Tunes in West Babylon is one of three spots in the country celebrating the anniversary of the final Nirvana album by offering free tattoos to those who buy one of the remastered “In Utero” sets or the new “Live and Loud” DVD Tuesday between noon and 8 p.m. (In case you’re wondering, the other two stores are Silver Platters in Seattle and Fingerprints in Long Beach, Calif.)

Or, if that’s too much of a commitment, you could check out this previously unreleased live version of “Very Ape,” featuring Kurt Cobain on drums, that MTV released Monday in honor of the anniversary. (App users, view the video at newsday.com/backstagepass.)
