Country music star Kane Brown sets UBS Arena show

Country-music star Kane Brown takes "The High Road" this spring when he brings his tour for that upcoming album to the UBS Arena in Elmont on May 16.

General-public tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Oct. 18, at Tour.KaneBrownMusic.com, where one can register for presale starting Tuesday at 10 a.m. Opening acts are Ashley Cooke and Mitchell Tenpenny.

"Can’t wait to ‘put some miles on it’ with @kanebrown and his team!" Tenpenny posted on Instagram Thursday, evidently alluding to Brown and collaborator Marshmello’s recent hit, "Miles on It." "This is going to be such a fun tour!" he added.

The High Road Tour opens March 13 in San Diego and concludes July 13 in Chicago.

Tennessee native Brown, who turns 31 on Oct. 21, first earned attention on YouTube in the 2010s with covers of songs by such country artists as Brantley Gilbert and Alan Jackson. In 2014, the burgeoning singer-songwriter’s own composition, "Don't Go City on Me," went viral, and he went on to self-release his debut EP, "Closer," the following year.

Its success led RCA Nashville to sign him and release his first full-length album, "Kane Brown" (2016), which eventually went 3X Platinum, meaning at least 3 million units sold. "Experiment" (2018), his third LP, crossed over from Billboard’s various Country charts to reach No. 1 on the magazine’s main Billboard 200 album chart. Brown’s fourth LP, "The High Road," drops Jan. 24.

On the road to "The High Road," Brown has amassed 13 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. While he has received no Grammy Award nominations, he has won five American Music Awards, including three for Favorite Male Artist — Country.

His often R&B-infused country hits include the Diamond-certified (10 million units) "Heaven" (2017) and the 3X Platinum "Good As You," "Homesick" and "Lose It" (all 2018) as well as his 5X Platinum country-pop collaboration with Marshmello, "One Thing Right" (2019).

In June 2023, Brown became the first Black solo artist to headline Boston’s  Fenway Park, according to the concert and live-music trade magazine Pollstar.
